Sound Bath Vancouver
what it is and why it works
A sound bath is an immersive meditation where precisely tuned instruments create layers of therapeutic frequency. Each overtone entrains the brain toward calmer alpha–theta patterns, nudging the nervous system from “fight or flight” into deep rest.
instruments we use
• crystal quartz singing bowls (432 Hz and planetary tunings)
• symphonic and planetary gongs
• tibetan metal bowls
• handpan and chimes
• ocean drum & rainstick for water‑element textures
proven benefits
Clinical and emerging studies report that participants often notice
• lower cortisol and heart rate variability improvements
• easier, more restorative sleep
• reduced muscle tension and pain perception
• elevated mood and mental clarity
• enhanced meditation depth and creativity
what to expect in‑studio
Arrive ten minutes early; we supply mats, bolsters, and blankets.
Settle in Savasana while gentle breath cues prepare the body.
Forty‑five to sixty minutes of live soundscape move from subtle chimes to powerful gong swells, then back to stillness.
Silent integration and optional herbal tea before departure.
Sessions are held at our Yaletown loft and select partner studios; private bookings are available.

try a sound bath at home
Can’t make it in person? Stream our free “astral travel” sound bath on YouTube. For best results, wear closed‑back headphones: the track is mixed in Dolby Atmos with embedded binaural beats (dual tones delivered separately to each ear). The slight frequency difference between ears induces a 4–8 Hz theta beat, mirroring the brain state reached during deep meditation.
safety & contraindications
Check with your healthcare provider before attending if you:
• are in the 1st or 3rd trimester of pregnancy
• have a pacemaker or metal implants
• experience sound‑triggered epilepsy or Ménière’s disease
• recently had major surgery or acute concussion
